GDPR, the big update in Data Protection law for the UK and Europe will come into effect on May 25 2018. Contrary to popular belief it is more a tightening of the UK’s Data Protection Act rather than a revolutionary change in how organisations manage their contacts’ data.
There are however many myths about the changes, one example being the hundreds of emails you’ve received asking you to re-subscribe to mailing lists, etc. I’m waiting for the spam and phishing emails about this, though thankfully haven’t seen any yet.
